Krylon Spray Paint

24 hours, 24 projects, more impressions than the Super Bowl.

For the introduction of the brand’s new ColorMaster™ with durable Covermax® technology spray paint, we knew a traditional approach just wouldn’t cut it. We were being outspent 2-to-1 by our competitors in terms of media dollars, so we had to do something that would cut through all the noise like coat of Candy Apple Red on a dusty old dresser.

Welcome to the Krylon ColorMaster Challenge: 24 projects in 24 hours. This handy dandy video should help you get your head around the scope of work.

The results:

the Krylon ColorMaster Challenge garnered an estimated 190.5 million total impressions, including: 700,000+ minutes video watched, 14 minutes average viewing time, 17.9 million paid impressions, 6.3 million social media impressions, 11.9 million SMT impressions, 60,000 visits to the campaign microsite, 6,100 projects viewed, 2,500 project downloads and 26 videos created for future use on the brand-owned YouTube channel.

A TV, print and digital messaging platform aimed at informing the public about the lower fares and increased flight options at CLE.

Sports Partnerships

We facilitated marketing partnerships with the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians and almost all of the regions collegiate sports teams.

CLE Plane Pull

Coordinated event logistics and implemented social campaigns to bring the annual event to life, raising more than$150k for Special Olympics Ohio.

In-Airport Messaging and Branding

We employed hundreds of in-airport placements to further our brand message and strengthen air service provider relationships.

Airline Co-Op media planning and creative planning

worked closely with air service providers to help plan and implement new service marketing media.

The power of outdoor power equipment.

Troy-Bilt is one of the largest, most trusted brands of outdoor power equipment in the world. And as one of the agency’s largest clients, everything the team pitched, developed and produced had to be on brand, on strategy and on point.  While at Marcus Thomas, I wrote for and ultimately help lead the team that executed an array of communications, including TV, print, radio, content marketing, social management and campaign development, digital and advertising, blogger relations, newsletters, email campaigns, package design and even new product development.

Naturepedic is an organic mattress manufacturer that combines Amish craftsmanship, 100% all-natural materials and innovative technology to bring safe, healthy sleep to tired people everywhere.With a growing fanbase of famous Hollywood stars and starlets, the company opened a series of brick and mortar stores in L.A., Chicago, Houston and other upscale markets. When it was time to update their brand and build an ecommerce experience to match their luxury aspirations, all we had to do was look out the window.

With a photo and design style that evokes the grandeur of nature by bringing the outside in, we created a site built on the Magento ecommerce platform that not only made a complicated purchase funnel simple, but brought product info to the forefront and made product reviews a key decision driver. When you’re pondering whether or not to hit the “buy now” button on something as big as a mattress, you have to be sure about both the product and the brand. In the end, we helped Naturepedic increase online sales, in-store sales, increase social engagement and built a stable platform for years to come.

Dutch Boy Paintlist

Music + Paint = Let’s do this thang

The home decor and remodeling space is full of change. Gone are the times of skipping down to the nearest hardware store and picking yourself up a can-o-paint. Today, people passionate about home remodeling want a better way to emotionally connect with the products they choose to integrate into their personal spaces.

Every design choice they make needs to be connected to a story.

Paintlist is a mobile app I helped create at Marcus Thomas that analyzes a users music playlist and decodes it into custom Dutch Boy color pallets. In the end, it’s the music acts as the natural storytelling bridge between the customer and the product. Watch the video to see the magic in action:

 


SPEEDWAGON

ABP: Always Be Producing

Following the story of urban hermit and his childhood friend’s road trip through the American heartland, the independent feature film, SPEEDWAGON, delves into the true meaning of family, loneliness and why astronauts make horrible imaginary friends. As Executive Producer, I was lucky enough to be a part of the entire process, from concept development to scripting to production. Hey, I even acted as animation director for the animated sequences (with the help of the good folk at Recess Creative).
